I honestly was not expecting this towel to be as pretty as it is! It almost seems a shame to use it at the beach, because it's so beautifully woven! However, it was super thirsty right out of the package, and after a good launder, it's even better at getting those last slightly damp places dry enough to get into the car and back home! The flat weave it has keeps the worst of the sand out, unlike terry cloths that basically just grab every grain and bring them home with you. And it's generously sized, so it wraps around my chunky self without me fighting with it to keep it in place. Dries out quickly too, despite its multilayer weave. For the price point, it's almost more a work of art, and I would consider this a perfectly giftable item!

This is a good towel for the purpose: doesn't collect sand, dries pretty quick. But I think anything $25-40 for one towel should be very impressive. A beach blanket or even an old worn down towel can do a similar job for beach time. If you like the feel of this style of fabric and like the designs, these are a good option for this type of product. But don't expect it to be a game changer just because it is expensive.
